Marilyn Stevens, founded GMC out of her personal experience.  Dismayed by the high cost of dental care her research began... "find the country with a top level of sophistication in the art and technical expertise in dentistry AND where do I want to go on holiday!"  After much due diligence and 2 trips to Istanbul, Global Medical Connect was launched bridging the void of great dental care for reasonable prices while experiencing a fascinating destination.

With a career that spans healthcare, human resources, entrepreneurship, and international leadership, M brings a rare combination of patient-centered expertise, people-first leadership, and global perspective to the medical travel industry.

Based in London for part of her career, she served as the senior HR leader for the UK and across Europe within the EMEA region, partnering with executives to drive leadership development initiatives and align strategic goals with people-focused solutions. Her work took her throughout Europe, Baltics  and Central & Eastern Europe — developing leaders and shaping organizational culture.

In healthcare, she worked in an environment deeply committed to the patient experience — a culture embodied in the Better Together philosophy — and helped design service models that placed trust and relationships at the center of care.

Her HR background adds a deep understanding of people, processes, and organizational strategy, ensuring operations align with both client needs and business goals. As a business owner, she successfully launched and ran her own company, developing skills in brand building, client service, and market adaptation.
